When Mark decides to keep allowing Saz to stay at the flat, at least up until his birthday party, Jez leaves. Jez goes to Big Suze for shelter, but she's back with Johnson and won't let him stay there. Jez steals Johnson's credit card from Big Suze's house. When Jez arrives at the party, he discovers Johnson has found out about the credit card and Mark agrees to pay him back. Things get even worse for Mark when Saz leaves him for Jeff, and Sophie and Dobby are dancing with other men. Jez's mother comes with her new boyfriend Martin. It's clear that Jez dislikes his mother and Martin, although Mark respects Martin's military past and hopes to write his memoirs. Mark tries to impress Martin and his daughter, but she ends up having sex with Mark while he is asleep and continues even though he wakes and asks her to stop. Jez's mother decides to buy a property with Martin in Corfu, which halves Jez's inheritance — and she decides that the £10,000 will be controlled by Mark. The next day, Mark is forced to tell Jez he is out of the band. In response, Jez vandalises some of the contents of Cally's trailer, and Mark smashes one of the crystal skulls with a brick. When Cally enters her trailer, Jez lies and says that Mark caused all the damage. This causes Cally to angrily leave Mark and the festival; Jez ends up performing his music to an audience of just one man. It goes well, but Steffan arrives and offers Mark a cheque for £15,000 by Steffan to end the campaign. He agrees and takes the money, but soon after is encouraged to break into the office with Jez, Jeff, Dobby and Gerard — which he does to get Dobby to like him more. They vandalise the office, but are interrupted by Johnson and Steffan, who arrive at the office as Jez and Dobby push the photocopier down the stairs. Steffan takes the cheque back. Meanwhile, Jez meets a new love, Russian émigré Elena played by , who lives in their block of flats and deals marijuana. Sophie tells Mark and Jez that Jeff is also a possible father of her baby. Mark invites Dobby — who is unaware of Sophie's pregnancy — to his flat, and Jez invites Elena there. Later that night, Sophie phones him and tells him that Mark is that father. When Sophie comes to the flat, Mark, Elena and Dobby find out that Mark is the father.
